HOTBIN makes Composting easy by Maximizing what Nature Does Naturally

Composting allows you to become a better gardener as you watch your unavoidable food & garden waste turn into rich soil. Furthermore, you can add compost to your plants at any time, and plants will use exactly what they need when they need it. In other words, you cannot over-apply it.

Composting allows you to become a better gardener, as you watch your unavoidable food & garden waste turn into rich soil. You can add compost to your plants at any time and plants will use exactly what they need, when they need it. In other words, you can never over-apply it.

By producing your own compost, you will be able to replenish rich nutrients gradually to your plants or at the end of each growing season.  These efficiencies cannot be replicated by commercial fertilizers, as they do not provide the full spectrum of nutrients that you get with compost. However, compost microorganisms help plants to absorb nutrients from fertilizers more efficiently and helps prevent many soil pathogens from harming your plants.

Unlike any type of fertilizer, which needs to be applied at the right time and in the right amount, compost can be applied at any time and in any amount. As previously mentioned, plants will use exactly what they need and when they need it!

Applying compost - You can add compost to your perennials, shrubs, trees and even to your lawn as you tidy them up after each season.

About using a fast and efficient composting device to produce compost in abundance.

HOTBIN Composting is a device that can help you make compost in abundance in as little as 30-90 days, due to its short composting cycle.

HOTBIN is an aerobic composter drawing cold air (oxygen) in through the base air inlet which then passes through the waste using the free air spaces created by adding bulking agent/woodchips/mulch.

As waste is added to the HOTBIN, bacteria break it down, generating heat as a by-product. Moisture is controlled by adding a determined amount of shredded paper (1 half) and bulking agent/mulch/woodchip (1 fifth) which creates air spaces and allows aeration.

The air circulates and rises feeding the bacteria with oxygen. The heat produced through bacterial activity converts the moisture created during the decomposition process into water vapour which leaves the bin as steam.

The HOTBIN works as an insulated chimney, with three layers, an upper hot active layer, maturing warm middle and cool base. HOTBIN makes hot composting easy by maximizing what nature does naturally - essentially keeping bacteria happy.
