Shipping policy

Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on the products ordered and the delivery destination.
For shipments within the 48 contiguous United States, we use five shipping zones—West, Southwest, Southeast, Midwest, and Northeast. The applicable shipping rate is automatically calculated and displayed during checkout based on the destination shipping zone.
Customers shipping within the contiguous United States will see the total product and shipping charges before completing their purchase.
Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada may be subject to additional transportation charges that cannot always be calculated during checkout.
If additional shipping charges apply, a member of our team will contact you before your order is shipped to provide a transportation quote and obtain your approval.
Orders requiring additional shipping charges will not be processed or shipped until we have received the customer's approval.
Order Processing/handling time
Typical order processing and handling time within the 48 contiguous United States is 1–2 business days. Orders received before 12:00 PM Eastern Time (ET) are usually processed and shipped the same business day.
Processing times may vary during periods of high order volume, seasonal promotions, and recognized holidays. During these times, additional processing time may be required before shipment.
Orders Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada
Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada may require additional processing time. Please allow 3–5 business days for order processing, as shipping rates, carrier availability, customs requirements, and brokerage fees (when applicable) must be reviewed and approved by the customer before shipment.
Delivery Timeframes
Estimated delivery times are based on business days and begin once an order has been processed and dispatched.
Parcel Deliveries
The following products are typically delivered within 3 - 4 business days:
- HOTBIN 100
- HOTBIN 200
- HOTBIN Bundles
- Replacement Parts
Parcel deliveries are generally shipped using UPS, FedEx or USPS.
Freight Deliveries
The following products are typically delivered within 5-8 business days:
- HOTBIN Mega 450
- HOTBIN Mega 700
- Orders containing multiple HOTBIN units
Freight shipments are delivered using Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) freight carriers.
Delivery times may vary due to weather conditions, carrier delays, peak seasonal demand, or other circumstances outside our control.
Lost or Delayed Shipments
Once an order has shipped, customers will receive tracking information to monitor delivery progress. If your order has not arrived within the estimated delivery timeframe or tracking information has not been updated for several business days, please contact our Customer Support team for assistance. We will work with the carrier to investigate the shipment status and help resolve any delivery issues as quickly as possible.
Order Processing
Orders are processed on business days only (Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays).
Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next available business day.
Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipment confirmation email that includes your tracking information. Most tracking notifications also include a direct link to the carrier's website, allowing you to track your shipment and view the most up-to-date delivery status.
Delivery and Product Inspection
All HOTBIN products are packaged to help ensure they arrive in excellent condition.
Where possible, please inspect the packaging upon delivery.
If the product appears to have been damaged during transit, please:
- Take photographs of the packaging and product
- Retain all original packaging materials
- Contact our Customer Service team on the email below
If severe transit damage is visible before accepting delivery, you may refuse the shipment and notify us immediately so that we can assist with a replacement.
Order Tracking Information
Once your order has been processed and prepared for shipment, a shipping confirmation email will be sent with the tracking number and carrier details. You will receive:
- An order confirmation email following purchase
- A shipment confirmation email once the order has been dispatched
- Tracking information
This tracking information and links will allow you to follow the status of your order from the time it leaves our facility until delivery. Please note that tracking updates may take a short time to appear once the shipment has been picked up by the carrier.
Shipping Subsidy and Pricing
To help make HOTBIN products more affordable, HOTBIN Composting US subsidizes a portion of both parcel and freight transportation costs. These shipping subsidies are incorporated into our standard pricing structure and may vary based on the products ordered, the destination shipping zone, current carrier rates, and any promotional offers in effect at the time of purchase.
As a result, shipping charges paid by customers may not reflect the full transportation cost associated with delivering an order.
