HOTBIN® Limited Warranty

HOTBIN® Composting US, operated by Engineered Foam Products LLC ("HOTBIN®"), provides this Limited Warranty to ensure you are completely confident in your purchase. This warranty outlines your coverage, limitations, and the exact process for resolving any manufacturing defects.

1. Warranty Coverage & Periods

This warranty applies exclusively to authentic HOTBIN® products purchased directly from HOTBIN® Composting US or an authorized reseller.

• HOTBIN® Composting Bins: Covered by a three (3) year manufacturer's guarantee from the original date of purchase. This covers structural integrity and functionality under normal residential use.
• HOTBIN® Accessories & Components: Covered by a 12-month guarantee from the original date of purchase. This includes items bundled with your unit or purchased separately to ensure they meet our performance standards.

2. What This Limited Warranty Covers

This warranty strictly covers manufacturing flaws that prevent normal residential operation, including:

• Defects in factory materials.
• Defects in factory workmanship.
• Structural defects affecting the normal operation of the composting bin under intended residential use.

3. What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This Limited Warranty does not cover issues resulting from external factors or normal aging. Exclusions include:

• Normal wear and tear from regular outdoor use.
• Cosmetic damage (such as surface scratches, minor color fading, or scuffs) that does not affect the functional composting performance of the bin.
• Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, wildlife, improper assembly, or improper maintenance.
• Damage caused by aftermarket modifications, alterations, or unauthorized repairs.
• Damage resulting from exposure to extreme environmental conditions beyond normal residential use.
• Damage caused during transportation after initial delivery (claims for delivery transit damage must be filed within 7 days under Section 7 of our Shipping Policy).
• Commercial, institutional, or industrial use unless explicitly agreed upon in writing by HOTBIN®.

4. Warranty Exclusions & Void Criteria

This warranty will become void if:

• The product has been modified, structurally altered, or repaired by unauthorized parties.
• The product has been used in a manner inconsistent with its user manual and intended purpose.
• Valid proof of purchase cannot be provided.

5. How to Submit a Warranty Claim

To process your claim efficiently, you must provide:

1. Proof of purchase (your original order number or purchase receipt).
2. A detailed description of the structural or material issue. 
3. Clear photographs showing the specific defect.

6. Warranty Resolution & Shipping Costs

Once your documentation is received, it will be reviewed within 7–10 business days. If a manufacturing defect is verified under the terms of this policy, HOTBIN® will resolve the issue using one of the following methods at no cost to the consumer:

• Component Replacement: We will ship replacement parts or accessories to resolve the issue.
• Full Unit Replacement: If the defect cannot be fixed via components, we will ship a replacement unit.
• Warranty Shipping Fees: For all verified warranty claims within the coverage period, HOTBIN® covers 100% of the shipping costs for the replacement components or units.

7. Limitation of Liability

This Limited Warranty is the exclusive remedy provided by HOTBIN® Composting US. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HOTBIN® Composting US and Engineered Foam Products LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the product. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state or province to province.
